Project Overview
Wenergy deployed a 250kW / 516kWh Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (C&I BESS) in the Netherlands to support a resort facility with high reliability power requirements.
The system is designed to perform peak-valley arbitrage while providing emergency backup power, ensuring both cost optimization and uninterrupted electricity supply.

Operating Logic
Peak-Valley Arbitrage: The system charges during low-tariff off-peak periods and discharges during high-tariff peak hours, reducing electricity procurement costs through load shifting.
Emergency Backup Power: In the event of grid instability or outage, the system automatically switches to backup mode, ensuring continuous power supply for resort operations and nearby essential loads.
Project Value
Cost Reduction: Utilizes tariff differentials to lower long-term electricity expenses
Operational Continuity: Maintains power supply during grid failures
Improved Energy Management: Supports optimized load scheduling
This project demonstrates how a compact C&I energy storage solution can simultaneously deliver economic optimization and power reliability for commercial facilities.
