Wenergy has further strengthened its presence in the European energy storage market by signing a 100 MWh per year battery energy storage system (BESS) agreement with a strategic partner from Slovenia. The agreement was finalized during a recent visit to Wenergy’s manufacturing facility, marking a new stage in long-term cooperation and localized deployment across Europe.
The partnership is built on successful project execution in complex environments. In an earlier collaboration, Wenergy delivered a PV + battery energy storage + static transfer switch (STS) solution for a hotel in the Alpine region. Engineered for high-altitude and harsh climatic conditions, the system enabled peak shaving, valley filling, on-site self-consumption, and energy arbitrage, while also providing stable backup power during the winter off-season. The project validated the system’s operational reliability, safety performance, and environmental adaptability.
Wenergy’s Slovenian partner is among the country’s leading smart electricity meter manufacturers and grid software developers, with deep expertise in power systems, grid intelligence, and EPC project execution. Its entry into the energy storage sector represents a strategic extension of its core capabilities, enabling the delivery of integrated smart grid and user-side energy storage solutions.
The newly signed 100 MWh annual agreement underscores strong technical alignment, proven collaboration, and growing market confidence in Wenergy’s scalable, high-safety energy storage solutions.
Going forward, Wenergy will continue to collaborate with European partners to accelerate BESS deployment, support grid flexibility and energy transition goals, and contribute to the development of resilient, efficient, and low-carbon energy infrastructure worldwide.
